School Sport

The school sports sessions are delivered by the Active Lifestyles team with our experienced coaches. Sessions allow children to participate in a wide range of sports and activities, developing their teamwork, communication, leadership and many more skills. Sport can be a transformative activity that can improve the physical, psychological and social feeling of an individual.

How we can help!

Curricular Delivery:

The team offer qualified instructors to coach physical activity to any year group ranging from developing core motor skills, to gymnastics, to ball-games and more. We align our delivery to the school's curriculum and love to involve teaching points from other modules into the learning to improve the healthiness of your pupil's.

Extra-Curricular Delivery (After School Clubs & Enrichment Programmes):

The team can support extra-curricular provision. If you are looking for a varied multi-sport approach working with different year groups, or wanting higher qualified staff to teach specialist activities to your sports teams, get in touch to see how we can help.

Sports Days:

We can organise both traditional sports days with running, jumping and throwing events or alternative sports days with sporting challenges such as hockey dribbles, golf putting, tennis shots etc. These can be full day events, half days or just a couple of hours.

Tasters:

We can provide a variety of tasters, courses and clubs to give children the chance to try out different sports within the school environment. The children rotate around a set number of activities to give them all a try. We offer a wide variety of sports, including cricket, volleyball, tennis, handball, tri-golf, boccia, athletics and dodgeball. We have experience and skills in the majority of sports that a school may choose. These can be either full or half day events.

Health Promotion Days:

These educational events can be designed to include a variety of elements of health promotion and the importance of physical activity. This is demonstrated through healthy lifestyles games and fun interactive talks. These can be full or half day events.

Reviews

"I just wanted to share some feedback on the PE sessions we’ve received in Reception this year through the HDC Oxmoor School Project - they have been fantastic. It’s been wonderful to see how engaged the children are and how much they remember from each session. They often talk about the different games they've played and look forward to the next one. The coaches have been brilliant throughout. I've also really appreciated the assessments at the beginning and end of each term. It's been great to have a clear picture of the children’s progress, and the analysis sheet provided has been both insightful and interesting to look through. Thank you again for such a positive experience."

The Active Lifestyles team have been outstanding and have built a wonderful relationship with the children at our school.
